Soraya Arnelas was born in September 13th, 1982, in the small town Valencia de Alcántara in Extremadura. She worked in the radio of her town for a short time and then she decided to begin her studies to become an air hostess. During her studies she learned 3 foreign languages, English, French and Portuguese! On May 2005, she took part in the TV show “Operación Triunfo”. Despite the fact that she got the second place, the public considered her as the sentimental winner! Her first solo work, called “Corazon de Fuego”, released in 2005, had a huge success and sold 120.000 copies! With her second solo disc “Ochenta’s” she sold 120.000 more and with her third “Dolce Vita” she sold more than 100.000 copies! In October 2008, she launched her most famous solo album, called “Sin Miedo”. One of the songs “La noche es para mí” won the Spanish national selection and took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, in Moscow. Unfortunately the result wasn’t as good as expected and she ended up 23rd, scoring only 23 points. The received points were from: Andorra (12), Portugal (7), Switzerland (3) and Greece (1). Recently, in the party of the magazine ‘MUST’, she was awarded with the prize of the best magazine cover, for her sexy appearance. Thanks to Soraya the magazine is more famous than before! Some time ago the TV show, “Caiga quien caiga” published a video where Soraya showed her humorous personality, as she decided to be a waitress for a night! See the video here
A few days ago, Soraya announced in her facebook profile that she performed with Sophie Ellis Bextor in Lille!

Students at the Parsons School of Fashion are camping out today and tomorrow in the Louis Vuitton store in New York's Soho. They have gathered waste from the production of the brand's apparel and have taken over areas of the Greene Street store to work on the fabrics to make elaborate panels for a party at the store.
